A Great Start to a Great Season
The boys basketball team has kicked off the season to a great start with a record of 2-0. They played Seward High School in their exhibition game and although they started each quarter with the score 0-0, both teams played neck and neck and it was a very competitive game.
Following their exhibition game, the Knights played back to back games on the 1st and 2nd of December. Their regular season kicked off playing Omaha Christian Academy. Bergan took the win with a high score of 71-35, sweeping OCA. Dre Vance and Grant Frickenstein lead the way on the offensive side with a combined 46 points, while the press pushed the fire in the defensive side. Directly after the game against OCA, the Knights were ready to take on Douglas County West. Bergan’s many assists lead them to a 59-38 win. Dre Vance lead the scoring column with 18 points. The momentum up and down the court and valuing each possession lead the Knights to the win. The Knights will play Brownell-Talbot and Aquinas the following week.
