Kings and Queens- A Homecoming Suit

Every year, the themes are different, the outfits refreshed, and new homecoming royalty are crowned. But one thing that remains the same year after year is the pure school spirit exhibited by the student body during homecoming week. This year was no exception.

Monday started the week out with a classic decades theme, with each class dressing in the best styles from their assigned year range. From seventh grade and their early 2000’s fits to the seniors and their fresh 90’s threads, no one topped the juniors. They went all in for their roaring twenties theme, decking out in flapper dresses, dazzling pearls, and sharp suits. Next was elderly day, and the students really got into that one. There were bedazzled canes and slippers as far as the eye could see! Wednesday brought tourist day, and yet again, the student body did not disappoint. Some students wore fanny packs, bright hawaiian shirts, socks with sandals- or all of the above. Thursday was a fancy day for mass, and the knights capped off a great week with a green and gold themed friday. Two students who went above and beyond, Addisyn Mendlik and Andrew Tullis, even won gift cards.

This year, the homecoming court consisted of Ethan Vilwok, Kaia McIntyre, Jackson Gilfry, Lily Bojanski, Jake Ridder, and Allie DeGroff. Aftera close race, the victorious couple of 2019 was Jake Ridder and Kaia McIntyre.

At the end of the week, no matter what you wore, the music you listened to, or who you danced with, what matters is that we are a family and that we bleed green and gold.
