Magical Movie Reviews for Your Spooky Entertainment

These movies may not be suitable for all ages, viewer discretion is advised.

The Mummy - this movie follows the affairs of some treasure hunters in a desert who release a mummy who goes about seeking revenge for having a curse set upon him 3000 years ago from the point in time which the movie takes place in. In the end, it was an enjoyable movie to watch in my opinion. I would definitely watch again. Rating: 8/10 Coraline - The movie starts out as a depressing kids' movie. Her parents are always too busy to deal with her problems. In this movie, when she visits the other world, she has a mother and father who are exactly who she would like her real-world parents to be, they offer the choice of staying and really want her to. However, as you continue on with the story, you realize that the other world that she visits is wonderful and full of happiness, love, and joy. At night though, it turns from a better life into a dark reflection of her actual life that turns into an even worse nightmare when she meets three critical people. Be sure to watch and find out for yourself. Rating: 7/10 Insidious - In this movie, a family has just recently moved into a new house. They come to the realization that it is haunted by a malevolent force that possesses their child. This was an alright movie. I would recommend to people who enjoy a film that looks bad but has a decent story plot. Rating: 8/10 The sixth sense-the movie follows a child psychologist who comes to help a child with his problem. As the story develops you learn that the boy can see dead people. The psychologist helps the child interact and help these spirits find some rest. However, as the story progresses, you also get a glimpse into what appears to be the psychologist failing marriage, and you get to see the development of how the two interact. Be sure to pay particular attention to the color red. I'd highly recommend this movie to anyone. Rating: 9/10 Truth or Dare - It follows the typical development of standard horror movies, a higher power toys with beings for no apparent reason. The film follows the events of how the higher power enforces the rules of the game and the consequences. The main rule of the game is to play or die, some rules go along with each challenge, but you must follow the main one. The movie shows the effects of not abiding by the rules in an attempt to teach them a lesson. This movie was alright when it came to special effects, but in the end, it wasn't the worst movie to ever be made in the horror movie genre. Rating: 6/10
