Semester End Stresses

As quarter two comes to an end, our stress rises. Maybe it’s because of finals, new beginnings of Advent or sports, or just not getting any presents for your family yet. Chances are, you are not alone with your stress levels.

There are a lot of easy ways to muffle this stress or even completely alleviate it. You can make a to-do list. By putting down stuff you need to get done and setting goals, you can have a plan of action and will not be stressed about the next activity. One could also find someone to talk to. By spending some time with a friend or family member and talking about your situation, you can easily relate to each other's struggles and build off of one another for support.

Finals are a big deal in our school. They show what you learned, or didn’t learn, over a semester. By studying and not procrastinating, you gain confidence and get rid of some unnecessary stress. You can also evaluate your priorities. If you have two finals one day, and one is easy, don’t spend as much time studying for that class. You can also spread your finals out. If you can, try to take some hard finals on flex day to gain confidence for the rest of the week.

The end of the quarter will be here before we know it. Make sure you stick with it and finish the quarter strong.
